Enter the Salsa
contest during the Cinco de Mayo Celebration....
Any business, restaurant/caterer, service group or
individual may enter.
All preparations of the salsa must be done on-site from 10am
to Noon. No prepared salsas may be
brought from home, restaurant, etc.
Electricity will not
be provided.
We will have a hand washing station but no source of water will be provided for the preparation of the
salsa.
Contestant is responsible for bringing all ingredients and
utensils and one table no larger than 8 feet in length. We will supply tablecloths, tasting cups and
tortilla chips.
Salsa will be judged from Noon to 1pm.
One contestant will be awarded a $50 “Chamber Buck” prize
valid at participating Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce members. One winner will be determined by the number
of votes received from those attending the Cinco de Mayo celebration. Make sure you make a large batch of salsa for
the festival attendees to try so they can cast a vote for you.
There is no charge to participate in the Salsa competition
but pre-registration is necessary and must be received by May 1st. Late
entries will not be allowed. Please
