Announcing Little Miss Blueberry & Junior Miss Blueberry 2016

The stage was full of sparkle, glitter and even a blast of confetti as 17 anxious girls waited to hear who would take home the title of Little Miss Blueberry 2016 and Junior Miss Blueberry 2016.  The theme this year was the creation of Lori Campbell and the choreographer was Chelsey Zappela & Carly Livingston.  The girls competing in the Pageant did two group dances, questions and answers, interviews with the judges and their individual talents.  Everything from reading stories, telling stories, dancing and singing were performed on stage the evening of the Pageant.

The Little Miss Blueberry 2016 is Ava Nadrowski and Junior Miss Blueberry 2016 is Nevaeh Alessandrini.  Both girls were so excited to be crowned by Gracie Sample, Little Miss Blueberry 2015 and Tiffany Guerrero Junior Miss Blueberry 2015.  Congratulations Nevaeh and Ava.

We will see both Ava & Nevaeh in many activities in and around the Imlay City area starting out with our Blueberry Festival July 22nd & July 23rd.

I also want to thank the Sponsors of the pageant: John and Betty Cramer, Jet's Pizza Rob Haskins, Tri-City Times, Page One Printing, Tiana's Dollar & Deals, American Tree, Kroger, Heather Sample, McDonald's, Buccilli's Cakes, ICHS Art Students, Cheyene Roy, Brooke Johnson, Emma Auger, Chelsey Zapepela, Carly Livingston, Cole Bosma, Yvonne Wilson, Delores Heim, Lori Sorka, Nicole Sherman, Lorraine Filer, Kim Jorgensen, Jennifer Bell, Joi Kempf, Gwynn Hintz,, Shanelle Hintz,  Brooke Milnes and Margaret Guerrero-Deluca.

Welcome to Imlay City!

Last fall, R-Squared Builders reconstructed the Welcome Sign located on M-21 just west of the city.  The sign was in much needed repair and had to be rebuilt.

We love how the new sign looks! Non-profits interested in placing their emblem on the sign should contact the Chamber of Commerce for more information.

The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Four County Community Foundation and the Lapeer County Community Foundation for generously supporting this much-needed project.
