Welcome
to Imlay City! We are conveniently located at the
intersection of M-53 and I-69. With Port Huron to the east, Detroit
to the south and Flint to the west, we are truly the "gateway
to the Thumb."

Our community has grown and is not only
home to more than 3,000 residents but a number of agricultural and
industrial businesses as well. Even still, there is a small-town quality
with friendly people and a willingness to help. You will find many
opportunities for education, employment and leisure. Our public, private
and Christian schools provide a solid base to further your education
via either vocational training or our community college campuses.
Business and industrial opportunities both seasonal and year-round
offer some of the best around, and are still growing. Many of the
businesses are involved in our community and service club organizations.
They are committed to excellence in service as well as economic growth.

As you drive through our downtown area
the shade-covered streets, quaint and historical homes welcome you.
Then venture out to find our countryside with its rolling hills, farmland
and wildlife rich with beauty and serene calm. Once you come here
to visit, you'll definitely want to call this home!

If you like to golf, we have several
courses a short drive away. While you are in the countryside, take
advantage of our private and public lakes for your swimming, boating
and fishing pleasure. There are bike trails, parks and nature centers,
too no matter where you look you will find something for you
and your family to do.

I'd like to invite you to browse through this book and see for yourself
the many places and things we have to offer. Please don't hesitate to call the chamber office if
you have questions or need more information. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you
in person!
